Water smart conservation lawn sprinkler systems save money and reduce your water bill.
SLO Landscaping can provide customers with several choices of water conservation options and upgrades from today’s current efficient lawn sprinkler system technologies. Some of these options include Rain Sensors, Soil Moisture Sensors, Smart Sprinkler Controllers, and Water Conserving Sprinkler Heads.
Rain Sensors are proven to save water by automatically preventing your sprinklers from coming on during or after rainfall. Rain Sensors override programmed irrigation after a specific amount of rainfall has occurred. Scheduled irrigations resumes when the collected rainwater has evaporated from the sensor.
Soil Moisture Sensors can reduce water use by up to 30%. A soil moisture sensor measures actual soil moisture levels. If soil moisture is at or above a preset level, the sensor will prevent the irrigation system from operating and eliminate needless watering. If the current soil moisture is below the preset level, irrigation will occur as normal. The sensors can be set to respond to the unique needs of your landscape.
Smart Sprinkler Controllers also reduce water. “Smart” sprinkler controllers maximize water efficiency by continuously monitoring site data (solar radiation, temperature, wind, and humidity) to automatically adjust your watering schedule each day.
Water Conserving Sprinkler Heads can reduce water use by up to 33%. MP Rotator sprinkler heads are a new innovation in sprinkler head design. The MP Rotator’s multi-trajectory, revolving streams apply water much more slowly and uniformly than conventional sprays. This allows water to soak deeper into the landscape using less water than conventional sprinkler heads. Additional water saving advantages include more resistant to wind, less likelihood of misting, and significant reduction of water run-off on to streets and sidewalks.
